Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare Now Available on Switch and PS4

Red Dead Redemption, the massively popular and successful action-adventure game from Grand Theft Auto creator Rockstar Games, as well as its Undead Nightmare DLC are now available on the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. They can also be playable on the PlayStation 5 via backwards compatitbility.

The new “conversions,” as Rockstar Games likes to refer to them, are now available digitally as a single package through the Nintendo eShop and PlayStation Store, while physical editions are scheduled for release on October 13, 2023.

According to Rockstar Games, Red Dead Redemption on the Switch and PS4 run at a framerate of 30 FPS at up to 1080p resolution on the Switch and PS4, up to 4K on the PS4 Pro, and 4K on PS5.

The new releases also include bonus content from the Game of the Year Edition of Red Dead Redemption, including the classic Tomahawk, Explosive Rifle, and Golden Guns weapons as well as the Savvy Merchant and Expert Hunter outfits, and more.

Some of the other features include Hardcore mode for Red Dead Redemption, PS4 Trophy support, and in-game achievements on Nintendo Switch. Support for new languages have also been added, including Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Korean, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, and Latin American Spanish.

Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare is now available digitally on the Switch and PS4, with a physical release set for October 13, 2023.
