Monster Hunter Wilds developer and publisher Capcom has released a new trailer for the upcoming action RPG as well as new details for both the game’s launch and post-launch. The new trailer unveiled Jin Dahaad, the apex predator of the game’s new Iceshard Cliffs region, as well as a yet to be known variant of Rathalos.
The week after Monster Hunter Wilds launches, new Event Quests will become available that will reward players with special armor. Capcom also announced the first free major Title Update for Monster Hunter Wilds, which is set to be released sometime in Spring 2025. It will see the return of the Leviathan monster Mizutsune along with new event quests and other updates to the game. The second free Title Update that’s coming in Summer 2025 will also introduce an additional monster and event quests.
Monster Hunter Wilds is scheduled for release next week on February 28, 2025, on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam.
