Honkai: Star Rail developer and publisher HoYoverse has announced that the popular game’s Version 1.2 update, titled “Even Immortality Ends,” will be released on July 19, 2023. The new update will not only add the continuation of the game’s main story but it’ll also introduce three new playable characters into the game’s roster.
Version 1.2 continues the Astral Express Crew’s adventure on the Xianzhou Luofu where two new areas will be added for players to explore, the Alchemy Commission and the Scalegorge Waterscape. The update may also see the conclusion of the current story chapter as players reach the center of the Xianzhou Luofu’s ongoing Stellaron disaster.
As previously mentioned, Version 1.2 will also introduce three new playable characters. The first of which will be Blade, the Stellaron Hunter. He is a five-star Wind-type character under the Path of Destruction. Blessed with immortality, Blade sacrifices his own HP to deal more damage to enemies in combat.
Kafka, arguably the most anticipated playable character to join the roster, is a five-star Lightning-type character following the Path of Nihility. Kafka is able to apply damage over time effects on opponents and inflict Lightning damage to multiple opponents as well. She’s also able to deal more damage to enemies that have already been affected by her damage over time abilities.
Lastly, Luka is a four-star Physical-Type character following the Path of Nihility. Originally unveiled at the Summer Game Fest last month, Luka is an apprentice to Belobog’s Oleg and is capable of inflicting Bleed effects on his targets, enhance his own basic attack, and even increase the damage a target receives for a set number of turns.
The Version 1.2 update will also feature several in-game events, including the “Tales of the Fantastic,” the “Underground Treasure Hunt,” and “The Voyage of Navis Astriger.” Notably, players will be able to receive 4-star character Yukong when they conquer the new “The Voyage of Navis Astriger” in the Forgotten Hall. The Simulated Universe is also adding World 7 as well as new Ornament rewards.
Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.2 will be released on July 19, 2023. The game is currently available on PC, the Epic Game Store, iOS, and Android. It is also scheduled for release on the PlayStation 5 in Q4 of 2023.
