EA has unveiled a new gameplay video for the upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order during the EA Play live stream at E3 2019.
The new gameplay video shows off the new title’s protagonist Cal Kestis as well as a few familiar faces including Saw Gerrera from Rogue One played by Forest Whitaker. It also shows off the protagonist’s droid partner BD-1, which the player can utilize in several ways.
The video features what looks like one of the game’s missions and sees the player infiltrating what looks like an Imperial installation where he has to fight off not only Storm Troopers but also the indigenous wildlife like giant spiders. The gameplay looks very similar to the Star Wars: The Force Unleashed series although it looks more intuitive and thoughtful, in the same way games like The Witcher 3 are, with several ways to dodge and block attacks.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is being developed by Titanfall creator Respawn Entertainment and is set for release sometime later this year for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
