The opening cinematic for Code Vein, the upcoming action RPG from Bandai Namco Entertainment, has been released. The video features animation from studio ufotable, the people behind several popular anime such as Fate/Zero, God Eater, Kimetsu no Yaiba, and more, as well as an opening theme from J-rock duo VAMPS titled “Underworld.”
Along with the release of the opening cinematic, studio ufotable Storyboard/Episode Director Suhara Takashi released a statement to the press:
“Despite having worked on many top-class ufotable character design, embodying the post-apocalypse X gothic ambiance befitting of CODE VEIN in its opening animation is something I do not shy away from. Everyone on the team was extremely determined to create an art style for the animation which closely represents the actual game design. We will be elated if our dedication to character and background details within the animated world of CODE VEIN are well appreciated by many.”
Code Vein is scheduled for release on September 27, 2019, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
