Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Release Date Announced

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 publisher Activision Blizzard has announced that the second installment of the ongoing Modern Warfare series reboot will be released later this year on October 28, 2022. 

Along with the release date, Activision Blizzard also unveiled some of the characters that will be making an appearance in Modern Warfare 2, including Captain John Price, Sergeant “Soap” MacTavish, Sergeant Kyle “Gaz” Garrick, and Simon “Ghost” Riley. The company also unveiled a new character named Colonel Alejandro Vargas, which may potentially be the new player character in the game.

The official release date trailer also included the official artwork for each of the aforementioned characters that will be present in Modern Warfare 2.

While Activision Blizzard has set the release date of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 for October 28, 2022, it has yet to announced which platforms the game will be coming to. The new iteration of Call of Duty: Warzone is also expected to be released alongside the upcoming game.
