ASUS has officially launched its new ROG Ally gaming handheld device in the Philippines. The company has released both previously unveiled models of the ROG Ally in the country, namely the one powered by an AMD Ryzen Z1 CPU and the other by an AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme chip.
Both models of the ROG Ally will come with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of SSD storage, with the option to expand its storage via its UHS-II microSD card slot. Some of the other features of the new device include its 7-inch 1080p 120Hz display, WiFi 6E support, the new ROG Zero Gravity thermal system designed specifically for the ROG Ally, and support for any Windows-based game from Steam, Epic, Xbox Game Pass, and more.
The ROG Ally can be used in several ways, including the standard handheld mode, a TV mode using the ROG Gaming Charger Dock and compatible controllers, and a higher performance mode when used with the ASUS ROG XG Mobile external GPU setup.
The ASUS ROG Ally Ryzen Z1 Extreme model is now available at ASUS and ROG Concept Stores for PHP 43,995 while the ROG Ally Ryzen Z1 variant will be available sometime in August with a price tag of PHP 39,995. The ROG Ally also comes bundled with three months of Xbox Game Pass and the first 100 buyers of the ROG Ally Ryzen Z1 Extreme model will also get a chance to take home an ROG Ally accessories set, which includes the ROG Ally Travel Case and Gaming Charger Dock.
ASUS will also be hosting a special pop-up booth at One Bonifacio High Street Mall from July 21-30, 2023. Visitors can try out the ROG Ally and get a chance to win special ROG merch and prizes at the booth.
