ASUS Releases Zenfone 3 Zoom in the Philippines

The Zenfone 3 Zoom was originally unveiled at CES 2017 back in January and ASUS has finally released the photography-centric smartphone in the Philippines. The Zenfone 3 Zoom is the successor to 2015’s Zenfone Zoom and is one of the final models in the Zenfone 3 family.

The Zenfone 3 Zoom features a dual rear camera system that, unlike other dual camera implementations, utilizes two 12-megapixel sensor cameras that work independently from each other. One camera features an f/1.7 aperture 25mm lens while the other uses a 59mm lens with 2.3x optical zoom. It also features a 13-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture lens. All three of the Zenfone 3 Zoom’s camera utilize the company’s new SuperPixel technology that boosts light sensitivity while reducing noise in low-light situations.

The main camera of the Zenfone 3 Zoom also features the company’s ASUS Tritech+ autofocus technology which combines Dual Pixel PDAF (phase-detection autofocus), laser autofocus, and subject-tracking autofocus, allowing the camera to adapt to any situation. Other features of the Zenfone 3 Zoom’s cameras include RAW file support, full manual mode, four-axis OIS, three-axis EIS, 4K UHD video recording, and more.

The rest of the phone’s features include a 5.5-inch full HD 1080p display, a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, expandable storage support up to 2TB via microSD, dual SIM support, and a 5000mAh battery. It is available in several color options including Navy Black, Glacier Silver, and Rose Gold.

The Zenfone 3 Zoom is now available at several ASUS stores and partner retailers for an SRP of Php23,995. It’s bundled with a JBL Clip 2, a Clear Case, and a ASUS ZenEar, all with a total worth of around Php4,500.
