Age of Empires VI: Anniversary Edition has finally come to Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and Xbox Game Pass. The fourth installment in the long-running series was initially released on PC back in 2021.
The arrival of Age of Empires VI: Anniversary Edition on Xbox platforms introduces a number of console specific features, including native inputs for the Xbox controller, a controller-specific UI, the new Villager Priority System, the Site Menu System, and more.
The Villager Priority System offers predefined and user customizable settings that automates villager assignments to make playing on console easier. The Site Menu System streamlines building by offering build options based on the resource the player has selected while also automatically assigning a villager to that task.

The game also features multiplayer, allowing players to compete, cooperate, or spectate in PVP and PVE modes. Up to eight people can play together on the Xbox Series X/S while the Xbox One supports up to four.
