PayMaya has partnered with Beep to give commuters an option to safely and conveniently load up their Beep cards for their commute.
Users will now be able to purchase Beep load packages through the PayMaya app, removing the need for face-to-face interactions with tellers as well as the exchange of physical cash.
“As the country reopens, more Filipinos are starting to go back to work and use public transportation. At PayMaya, we’re committed to making cashless options widely available in the transportation sector in order to promote a safer and more convenient commute for the public. Our partnership with Beep is just one of the many steps we are taking to achieve this goal,” said Shailesh Baidwan, PayMaya President.
Three Beep load packages will be available for purchase via the PayMaya app – PHP 100, PHP 250, and PHP 500, with an additional PHP 5 convenience fee. Here’s how to easily purchase any of these load packages via PayMaya:
- Tap treats on the app homepage
- Select a beep™?card load package
- Input your beep™?card number, then tap continue
- Wait for a purchase confirmation in-app and via SMS
- Head over to a Beep?e-load station and tap your card to receive the load package.?
Once the Beep card is loaded, it can be used on the LRT 1, LRT 2, MRT 3, as well as Point-to-Point (P2P) and Metro Manila city buses. Even modern PUVs, among other transportation modes, are beginning to accept Beep cards as a payment method.
