vivo has launched its new X80 series flagship smartphones in the Philippines. The two new premium devices, which have been co-engineered by vivo and ZEISS, are now available for pre-order.
Both the new X80 and X80 Pro feature ZEISS Optics, lenses that meet the ZEISS T* Coating standard, and the ZEISS Super Night Camera feature. It also supports ZEISS’ Cinematic Video capabilities including a reproduction of the company’s Anamorphic film lenses, creating oval flares in videos and photos in a film-standard 2.39:1 aspect ration. The X80 Pro also comes with the company’s Gimbal Portrait Camera feature.
Other imaging features of the X80 series include AI Video Enhancement, Active Centering OIS System, and XDR photo technology.
The new X80 series is powered by the company’s new vivo V1+ chip that is designed to handle imaging, display, and game graphics. The new chip is coupled with the Snapdragon 8 gen 1 on the X80 Pro and the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 on the X80. Both models also come with Game Frame Interpolation, X-Axis Linear Motor, and Dual Stereo Speaker features.
The exterior of the X80 and X80 Pro features a 6.78-inch 3D Curved Screen coupled with a Flourite AG Glass back that has what the company calls its Ceramic Cloud Window 2.0 design. vivo has utilized its 2K E5 Ultra Vision Screen for the X80 series, which features an AMOLED panel with a WQHD+ display resolution and refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The display is also DisplayMate A+ certified, setting over 15 new DisplayMate A+ records, as well as SGS Eye Care Display and SGS Seamless certified.
X80 Pro is equipped with a 4700mAh battery while the X80 comes with a 4500 mAh battery, both of which are TÜV Rheinland Fast Charge certified and support 80W Wired FlashCharge. Additionally, the X80 Pro also supports 50W Wireless FlashCharge.
The vivo X80 Pro is available in a Cosmic Black color option while the X80 model also comes in Urban Blue. The vivo X80 series is already available for preorder until June 17, 2022, through vivo’s official website as well as its official Shopee and Lazada stores. The vivo X80 Pro is priced at PHP 59,999 while the X80 costs PHP 45,999.
