Transcend Launches Industrial-Grade SuperMLC MicroSD Cards

Transcend has launched a new line of industrial-grade SuperMLC UHS-I Speed Class 1 (U1) microSD cards, available in capacities up to 32GB and write speeds of up to 95MB/s.

The new cards feature the company’s SuperMLC technology which is a cost-effective solution that combines the benefits of both SLC and MLC NAND flash memory. Not only do the new SuperMLC cards feature a high-performance rating but they also offer exceptional endurance with a wide temperature tolerance range of -40° to 85° Celsius.

The new cards are also fault-tolerant, deliver more P/E cycles (up to 30,000 times), and feature both Advanced Error Correction Code (ECC) and S.M.A.R.T. functionality. To increase the reliability of Transcend’s new SuperMLC cards even further, they’re also backed by the company’s Two-Year Limited Warranty.

The new Transcend SuperMLC microSD memory cards will be available in 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB capacities at a yet to be disclosed price. They should begin showing up at your favorite Transcend retailers and distributors in the upcoming months.
