The OPPO Reno12 Series 5G is now available in the Philippines, which includes the OPPO Reno12 5G and OPPO Reno12 Pro 5G. The main highlight of the new smartphone series from OPPO is its AI camera system that features a powerful set of cameras as well as several AI-powered tools that help users take better photos.
AI-Powered Photography and Features
The OPPO Reno12 5G and Reno12 Pro 5G come equipped with the Ultra-Clear Camera System that comprises of a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 main camera that comes with All Pixel Omni-Directional PDAF and OIS as well as a 112-degree Ultra-Wide Camera with Sony IMX355 sensor. Both devices also support OPPO’s Flash Snapshot feature that is able to make small adjustments to the shutter speed based on ambient light levels. The Reno12 Pro 5G also comes with a 50-megapixel Telephoto Camera with a S5KJN5 sensor,2x Optical Zoom, and 20x Hybrid Zoom.
The OPPO Reno12 5G and Reno12 Pro 5G come equipped with 32MP and 50MP selfie cameras, respectively, that come with 0.8x, 1x, and 2x zoom and support the company’s AI Portrait retouching capabilities and Natural Tone feature.
Users can enhance the photos they take further with OPPO’s AI Eraser 2.0 that allows users to utilize functions as Remove People, Smart Lasso, and Paint Over. There’s also the AI Studio app that can transform your portraits completely using AI.
Apart from taking better photos, the new OPPO Reno12 Series 5G also comes with OPPO’s AI LinkBoost technology, a new proprietary communication technology that utilizes a 360-degree surround antenna as well as Intelligent Network Selection to achieve the following benefits:

Space-craft Inspired, Fluid Metallic Design
The OPPO Reno12 Series 5G features what the company calls a “space-craft inspired, fluid metallic design” that come in a wide array of color options. The OPPO Reno12 5G comes in Astro Silver, Sunset Pink, and Matte Brown while the OPPO Reno12 Pro 5G is available in Nebula Silver and Space Brown.
The body of the new Reno12 Series 5G measures only 7.4 millimeters thin while weighing only 180 grams. The devices are protected by OPPO’s High-strength Alloy Framework, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i for the Reno12 5G and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for the Reno12 Pro 5G. Both also have an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance.
Powering the new devices is a custom MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy mobile processor, developed exclusively by MediaTek and OPPO, as well as a massive 5,000mAh battery. The battery of the Reno12 Series 5G supports OPPO’s 80W SUPERVOOC Flash Charge, capable of charging the device from 1% to 47% in just 18 minutes and from 1% to 100% in just 49 minutes.
Lastly, the OPPO Reno12 Series 5G comes with ColorOS 14 with its new Trinity Engine for a better user experience.
