Lenovo Legion Y740/Y540, IdeaPad L340 Laptops Releasing in June, Specs and Prices Announced

Lenovo has announced the release of three of its new laptops this June, including the Legion Y740 and Y540 as well as the IdeaPad L340 Gaming. The company also announced the configurations and prices of each of the new laptops.

Legion Y740

The top-end device of the trio, the Legion Y740 will only be available in one configuration that will feature an Intel Core i7-9750H, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 GPU, 16GB of RAM, and a whopping 1TB of SSD storage. It will also feature a 15.6-inch full HD IPS display with a refresh rate of 144Hz. The Legion Y740 will be priced at PHP 119,995.

Legion Y540

The smaller brother of the Y740, the Legion Y540, will be available in three variants. The top-end variant will be equipped with the same internals as the Y740 but loses the metal chassis as well as RGB lighting and is equipped with a smaller battery. Those differences make it significantly cheaper though, with a price tag of only PHP 99,995.

The middle variant of the Y540 will also be equipped with an Intel Core i7-9750H processor but replaces the RTX graphics with a GeForce GTX 1660 Ti GPU. It will also be equipped with 8GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD storage. It will be priced at PHP 89,995.

Lastly, the most affordable variant of the Y540 will be priced at only PHP 69,995 and will feature an Intel Core i5-9300H, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650, 8GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage. Both the middle and entry-level variant of the Y540 will feature 15.6-inch full HD IPS 60Hz displays.

IdeaPad L340 Gaming

While the Y740 and Y540 are part of Lenovo’s Legion brand of gaming laptops, the IdeaPad L340 Gaming falls under the company’s mainstream line-up, which strips away all of the gamer-centric stylings of the Legion brand but also allows it to be priced lower than any of previously mentioned laptops.

The IdeaPad L340 Gaming will come in two variants, each equipped with a GTX 1650 GPU, a 1TB HDD, and 8GB of RAM. The only difference between the two variants is one is powered by an Intel Core i7-9750H and also comes with a 128GB SSD, which will be priced at PHP 59,995, while the other features an Intel Core i5-9300H and no SSD storage at PHP 49,995.

As previously mentioned, all of the new laptops from Lenovo will be available sometime in June 2019 and will come with the company’s 2-Year Premium Care service.

Lenovo is also running a Back-to-School Promo from May 11 to June 30 where those who purchase a Legion Y740 will also receive a Legion Y Gaming Headset, Legion M200 Gaming Mouse, and Legion K200 Gaming Keyboard while those who avail the Legion Y540 will be given the Legion M200 Gaming Mouse and Legion K200 Gaming Keyboard.
