Schneider Electric has launched its new APC Back-UPS Pro Gaming UPS in the Philippines, giving gamers a high-end option for protecting their gaming consoles, gaming PC, and other gear.
APC Back-UPS Pro Gaming
The APC Back-UPS Pro Gaming is a 1320W/2200 VA UPS (uninterruptible power supply) that not only protects your devices from power surges but also keeps them running for a short time when there’s a blackout so you can safely and properly shut them off.
As previously mentioned, is capable of supplying up to 1320W/2200 VA of power, allowing you to plug in multiple devices to it. It’s equipped with six power outlets, four of which have surge protection and are connected to the UPS’s internal battery while the last two only provide surge protection. It also comes with three USB ports to charge your devices as well as pass-through networking ports to protect your PC from power surges that may come through your LAN cables. Lastly, it comes equipped with a USB cable that you can plug into your PC so you can set up functions like auto saving of your files and shutting down of your PC if the power goes out.
According to APC, the battery of the Back-UPS Pro Gaming has a runtime of up to 14.5 minutes at a 450W load, which is more than enough time to safely shut off your gaming PC or console. According to APC, here’s the estimated runtime of the Back-UPS Pro Gaming per gaming device:
- Nintendo Switch – 35 mins
- PlayStation 5 – 11 mins
- Gaming Desktop – 10 mins
- Xbox Series X – 15 mins
- Gaming Laptop – 20 mins
Of course this will depend on how many devices are connected and running at the same time as well as the specific power load of your gaming desktop or laptop.
The Back-UPS Pro Gaming comes in both grey and white and features a tilted LCD display so you can monitor the status of the UPS, including its battery charge, if it detects any power anomalies, and more. It also features RGB lighting so you can match it with your setup.
