The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan Multiplayer Modes Announced With New Trailer

Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced the two multiplayer modes for their upcoming interactive horror game The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan. The game, which is being developed by Until Dawn makers Supermassive Games, will now feature two ways to play with your friends, a two-player online co-op mode and an offline couch co-op mode with up to five players.

The different players will each take control of one character and will be able to make decisions that may impact the entire group. While some situations in the two-player co-op mode will have the players present in the same scene, others will have them placed in different scenes altogether. The consequences of each players’ decision will then be seen at the end of each playthrough.

Here’s a description of the game’s setting, based in the developer’s website:

“The story of Man of Medan starts off on a dive boat in the South Pacific. With a rumoured WWII wreck to find, and plenty of on-deck partying to be had, our group of 4 young Americans and their skipper Fliss get ready for what should be the trip of a lifetime…but it doesn’t go quite to plan. As the day unfolds, and a storm rolls in, they find themselves trapped on board a ghost ship. Subjected to unimaginable stress and terror, they must try to find a way to escape the ship and its sinister history.”

The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan is scheduled for release on August 30, 2019, on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
