realme has launched its new realme 8 5G in the Philippines, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone to feature 5G network connectivity. With a relatively affordable price tag of only PHP 11,990, the realme 8 5G also unsurprisingly sold out within a few hours of its launch last June 24, 2021.

The realme 8 5G features the company’s Dimensity 700 processor, which is composed of an octa-core CPU with two ARM Cortex-A76 cores that is capable of speeds of up to 2.2GHz. The CPU of the realme 8 5G is coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It also comes with a 5000mAh battery that supports 18W Type-C quick charging.
The display of the realme 8 5G is a 6.5-inch Full HD+ display with a refresh rate of 90Hz and a sampling rate of 180Hz. As for its cameras, it is equipped with a 48-megapixel Nightscape camera and a 16-megapixel primary sensor. Some of its other features include a 3-card SIM tray that supports 2 SIM cards with 5G Dual SIM Dual Standby and a dedicated microSD card slot that supports up to 1TB cards.
The realme 8 5G is available in two color options, Supersonic Black and Supersonic Blue, and is priced at PHP 11,990. It is available via the realme official flagship store on Shopee and at the almost 600 realme stores and over 4,000 partner dealers across the Philippines.
