PLDT has begun rolling out free speed upgrades for some of its Home Fibr subscribers. The speed boosts are rather significant and can reach up to twice the original speed depending on the subscriber plan.
Those under Plan 6299 will have their connection speed increased to 300 Mbps (from 250 Mbps) while Plan 4299 subscribers will get 150 Mbps (from 120 Mbps). Plan 2899 subscribers will get double their original speed from 50 Mbps to 100 Mbps while those under Plan 1899, Plan 1699, and Plan 1299 will get up to 30 Mbps, 20 Mbps, and 10 Mbps, respectively.
In a press statement, PLDT Home Group Consumer Business Head Butch Jimenez said:
“The demand for high-speed internet is rapidly rising as our customers’ digital needs evolve. These free speed upgrades will definitely enrich the life of subscribers by expanding their access to world-class digital content powered by no less than the country’s undisputed fastest fixed network.”
