OPPO has announced that is partnered with camera manufacturer Hasselblad to co-develop camera technologies for OPPO’s flagship Find series. The new partnership is the result of the merger between OPPO and OnePlus last year, the latter of which was already partnered with Hasselblad. Now the strategic partnership has extended to OPPO as well.
“Following the success of OnePlus and Hasselblad’s collaboration in the past year, we are very pleased to see the partnership enter a new stage of development, giving more users around the world a chance to enjoy the legendary Hasselblad mobile imaging experience,” says Ele Yu, OPPO Philippines Marketing Director. “Camera color performance has always been a focus for OPPO and a part of Hasselblad’s DNA. We are very excited to be able to explore the future of Hasselblad Camera for Mobile together.”
The three-year R&D partnership aims to bring users more natural colors and a more refined imaging experience using Hasselblad’s Natural Color Calibration and OPPO’s latest MariSilicon X imaging NPU.
The two companies plan to further develop advanced imaging solutions and will begin with software improvements for natural color tuning that will first appear in OPPO’s next generation flagship Find X series launching in the first quarter of 2022.
