A new Borderlands game may be officially unveiled very soon as developer Gearbox Software has released a new teaser trailer called “Mask of Mayhem” alongside an announcement of a livestream at PAX East today at 11 AM PDT / 2 AM GMT+8.
The trailer features uncolored 3D models of both characters and enemies from the old games as well as a few unknown characters that may probably appear in the new game. It’s not clear whether the new game will be Borderlands 3 or another spin-off title in the franchise.
Borderlands 2 was released way back in 2012 and since then the series has released several spin-off titles including Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and Tales from the Borderlands.
We’ll just have to wait for the livestream happening later at 11 AM PDT / 2 AM GMT+8 over at Borderlands.com. In the meantime, you can check out the teaser trailer above.
