Microsoft Releases Gears of War 4 Gameplay Launch Trailer

Microsoft has released the official launch trailer for the upcoming Gears of War 4, after teasing the video the other day, almost three weeks before the game is set to come out on October 11, 2016.

Gears of War 4 is set 25 years after the end of Gears of War 3 and the trailer, which features a cover of Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters”, introduces us to the game’s new cast including J.D. Fenix, Kait, and Del as they try to fight against a new threat endangering to extinguish what’s left of the human race. Looking at the trailer, it looks like the new trio will be joined by original series protagonist Marcus Fenix.

The trailer also introduces new enemies of varying shapes and sizes as well as new vehicles including giant mechs the protagonists will be piloting at some point in the game’s story.

As previously mentioned, Gears of War 4 will be launching for the Xbox One and Windows PC on October 11, 2016 although those who purchase the Special Edition can start playing earlier on October 7, 2016. The game is one of the latest games that’s part of Microsoft’s Xbox Play Anywhere program which will allow gamers to play the game on both platforms if it is purchased digitally on at least one of them.
