2K has unveiled gameplay of Mafia: Definitive Edition, the full remake of the first game in the popular Mafia action-adventure series, which they initially announced back in May along with the Mafia: Trilogy.
The Mafia: Definitive Edition gameplay reveal video is narrated by developer Hangar 13’s president and chief creative office Haden Blackman and shows off the title’s core gameplay as well as one of the game’s most iconic missions, “A Trip to the Country.” Mafia: Definitive Edition features an updated script with new dialogue, expanded backstories, and additional cutscenes. It will also feature new gameplay sequences and features as well as improved cinematics.
The game is part of the new, aforementioned Mafia: Trilogy, which includes Mafia: Definitive Edition, Mafia II: Definitive Edition, and Mafia III: Definitive Edition. Those who purchase Mafia: Trilogy will be able to play Mafia II: Definitive Edition and Mafia III: Definition Edition immediately on the platform they purchase it on and will have access to Mafia: Definitive Edition when it releases.
Mafia: Definitive Edition is scheduled to release on September 25 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
