Kill la Kill the Game: IF Gets Japan Release Date

Kill la Kill the Game: IF has just gotten an official release date for Japan, set at July 25, 2019, which may give us an idea of when the new arena battle-action fighting game from Arc System Works is coming out worldwide.

It’s unsure whether the game’s Japan release will also coincide with its worldwide release as many games have released in Japan long before they’re released anywhere else but, hopefully, that isn’t the case with Kill la Kill the Game: IF.

Kill la Kill the Game: IF, based on the anime Kill la Kill from Studio Trigger, will feature a story mode with an original plot focusing on Satsuki Kiryuin that diverges from the show’s story. According to the anime’s screenwriter Kazuki Nakashima, the game’s story will follow a “what if?” scenario that branches off from the show’s eighth episode.

Kill la Kill the Game: IF is scheduled to release worldwide sometime this year for the PlayStation 4, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Check out the game’s trailer from Anime Expo 2018 below:
