HyperX Launches New Savage USB Flash Drive

HyperX has added a new USB flash drive to their Savage family of products which also include DRAM modules and SSDs. The new flash drive replaces the previously successful DataTraveler HyperX 3.0 USB drive.

“We are excited to offer this USB drive for gamers and enthusiasts to take advantage of the emerging USB 3.1 Gen. 1 standard, also commonly referred to as USB 3.0,” said Nathan Su, Flash Memory Sales Director, APAC Region, Kingston. “This is our fastest USB Flash drive and the combination of high performance and great looks with its aggressive design make it a perfect solution for PCs and consoles.”

The Savage USB flash drive is capable of transfer speeds of up to 350MB/s read and 250MB/s write and supports USB 3.1 Gen 1 connectivity. It will be available in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB capacities and is compatible with the latest desktops, laptops, and gaming consoles such as the Playstation 4 and the Xbox One.

HyperX has yet to announce the exact release date or price of the different variants of the Savage USB but that information should be made available soon. The company did announce that the new flash drive will be backed by the company’s five-year warranty with free technical support.
