Huawei Launches Nova 5T in the Philippines

Huawei has officially launched the new Nova 5T in the Philippines. The company’s latest mid-range smartphone not only packs some impressive specs but also comes at a surprisingly affordable price.

First off, the Nova 5T is equipped with 5 AI cameras – a quad-camera setup in the back and a selfie camera in the front. The quad-camera system consists of a 48-megapixel f/1.8 main camera, a 16-megapixel f/2.2 ultra wide-angle camera, a 2-megapixel f/2.4 macro camera, and a 2-megapixel f/2.4 depth sensor.

On the other hand, the front-facing camera is backed by a 32-megapixel f/2.0 sensor for those who enjoy taking selfies.

The large display of the Nova 5T measures 6.26 inches and features a resolution of 2,340 x 1080 pixels (Full HD+), a screen-to-body ratio of 91.7%, as well as a punch-hole for the front-facing camera as opposed to the notch seen in previous smartphones.

The back of the device features a shiny 3D holographic design that comes in either Crush Blue, Dark Blue, and Midsummer Purple.

On the inside, the Nova 5T is powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 980 processor, the same as the P30 Pro, as well as 8GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, and a 3750mAh battery which is backed by Huawei’s 22.5W fast charging.

Other features of the Nova 5T include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a dual SIM tray, and EMUI 9.1 which is based on Android 9 Pie.

The Huawei Nova 5T is priced at PHP 18,990 and will be available for pre-order from September 6-13, 2019. Those who pre-order the new smartphone will also receive a free pair of Huawei bluetooth speakers as well as a 1-year subscription to Iflix.
