Honkai Impact 3rd Part 2 Launch Date Set for Feb 29, Pre-Registrations Now Open

Honkai Impact 3rd developer and publisher HoYoverse has announced that Honkai Impact 3rd Part 2, the latest major chapter of the action RPG is set to release on February 29, 2024. The company has also announced that pre-registrations for the new game are now open. Honkai Impact 3rd Part 2 is a major update to the seven-year-old game, essentially rebooting it while also progressing its story to its next major arc.

Honkai Impact 3rd Part 2 is basically overhauling the original’s gameplay, including its visuals, combat, and more. It’s likely that the major changes are meant to help bring the game more in line with the company’s more recent releases, such as Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, and opening it up to a wider audience.

Honkai Impact 3rd Part 2 is also introducing the next arc of the game’s story. Players will take on the role of the Dreamseeker, another silent protagonist akin to the likes of the Traveler (Genshin Impact) or Traiblazer (Honkai: Star Rail), as they explore the planet Mars and deal with the ongoing Mars Crisis. Players will be able to meet new characters to recruit into their team. So far, three new recruitable characters have been announced.

HoYoverse has also announced that those who pre-register for Honkai Impact 3rd Part 2 will be able to receive a in-game warm-up bundle and also get a chance to win an Apple Vision Pro, ROG Ally, and more. A version update event will also be released where players will be able to obtain even more rewards.

Honkai Impact 3rd Part 2 is scheduled to launch on February 29, 2024, for PC, Android, and iOS.
