Grand Theft Auto III is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and Rockstar Games is celebrating the occasion with Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, remastered compilation that includes Grand Theft Auto III and its two subsequent titles in the series, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
The trilogy of games will be coming to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and the Rockstar Games Launcher on PC later this year. Surprisingly, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition will also be coming to iOS and Android sometime in the first half of 2022.
Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition will feature graphical improvements and gameplay enhancements for all three titles. According to Rockstar Games, more information on what the upgrades are and what they’ll look like will be announced in the coming weeks.
The studio is also planning special events and content in GTA Online in the coming weeks and months to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Grand Theft Auto III.
Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is scheduled for release on the PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and the Rockstar Games Launcher on PC later this year. iOS and Android versions are also planned for release sometime in the first half of 2022.
