G.SKILL Announces Trident Z5 DDR5 Series Memory

G.SKILL has announced its new Trident Z5 and Trident Z5 RGB DDR5 series memory kits. The new lineup, which feature Samsung DDR5 memory ICs, will include kits that are capable of speeds of up to DDR5-6400. More specifically, the top-of-the-line kit in the series is will be feature speeds and timings of DDR5-6400 and CL36-36-36-76, respectively.

The Samsung DDR5 memory ICs in the new Trident Z5 and Trident Z5 RGB memory modules feature a module layout comprised of two 32-bit sub-channels, twice the amount of banks and bank groups, as well as a double burst length. This equates to 32 banks across 8 banks with a burst length of 16. The modules are also equipped with on-board PMIC (power management integrated circuit) chip.

The new Trident Z5 and Trident Z5 RGB DDR5 memory kits feature a new dual-texture heatspreader design that combines a black brushed aluminum strip inset into a smooth metallic silver or powdered matte black body. The modules are either topped with a piano black bar, for the Trident Z5, or a translucent RGB light bar, for the Trident Z5 RGB.

There will be a total of six specifications for the new memory modulus, that come in 2x16GB kits, when they first launch.

The new G.SKILL Trident Z5 and Trident Z5 RGB DDR5 memory kits will be available sometime in November 2021.
