Cooler Master Announces Case Mod World Series 2020 With $24K Prize Pool

Cooler Master has announced the Case Mod World Series 2020 competition, the 11th edition of the annual event that began way back in 2019. This year’s iteration of the Case Mod World Series will feature a total prize pool of USD 24,000, which includes a USD 16,000 prize pot and USD 8,000 worth of products.

“It’s great to see the community come together during case mod world series, supporting each other and creating some of the best case mods there is out there” commented Annie Kao, Community Lead at Cooler Master. “Every year we see more and more interest in the modders creations and we’re thrilled to announce that this year, all the modders will have the chance to secure a co-development contract with us so we can help them take their passion to the next level.”

For this year’s competition, Cooler Master has partnered with several brands, including NVIDIA, MSI, G.Skill, and Viper Gaming by Patriot, and Control Ultimate Edition for the event’s 12 awards. The winners of each category will be decided by a panel of judges based design, innovation, craftsmanship, overall aesthetics, and adherence to the category’s theme. Here are the categories/awards and their respective prizes:

Major Awards

  • Best Tower Mod of the Year –  USD 4,000
  • Best Scratch Build of the Year – USD 4,000
  • Craftsmanship – USD 2,000
  • Innovation & Design – USD 2,000
  • Art Direction – USD 2,000

Partner Awards (each winner will be awarded a product package worth up to USD 1,500)

  • Small & Mighty (Small Form Factor Builds) Presented by MSI
  • Performance & Aesthetics Presented by Nvidia GeForce Garage
  • Best Gaming Theme Presented by Control Ultimate Edition
  • Cooled & Overclocked Presented by G.SKILL

Gaming Gear Awards (each winner will receive a USD 500 gift card)

  • Best Overall Design – USD 500 Gift Card
  • Gamers’ Approved – USD 500 Gift Card
  • Best Enhancement Idea – USD 500 Gift Card

All the participants of this year’s Case Mod World Series will have the chance to be chosen and offered an exclusive contract with Cooler Master for its CMODX program. The entries will be evaluated by the CMODX team along with the community and a handful of designs will be chosen to enter co-development and become available on the CMODX website.
