ASUS has officially released three new gaming peripherals under its ROG (Republic of Gamers) brand in Philippines including a new 7.1 surround sound gaming headset, the second generation of its Gladius optical gaming mouse, and a new lightweight Strix-branded mouse.
The ROG Centurion is the company’s latest foray into the 7.1 surround sound gaming headset market. While it features a similar look to the company’s previous 7.1 surround sound gaming headset, the ROG Strix, it features new earcups that lose the owl-eye design and come in a more conventional shape. The Centurion also comes with a newly designed USB audio station which houses Hi-Fi grade ESS headphone amplifier and allows the user to adjust the headset’s audio settings on-the-fly. It also comes with a flip-up digital noise-cancelling microphone and two pairs of ear cushions.
ROG Gladius II
The Gladius II is the second iteration of the company’s critically acclaimed gaming mouse from 2014. The new version keeps the many of the features that made the original great including the 50-million click Omron switches that are coupled with the mouse’s easy-swap switch socket design that allow users to conveniently replace the switches of the two main mouse buttons. The Gladius II also features the company’s Aura Sync RGB lighting, a detachable USB cable as well as a new thumb button that allows users to quickly change the mouse’s DPI while it is held down, for additional precision at crucial times.
ROG Strix Impact
The Strix Impact features a simple, lightweight ambidextrous design and comes with only four buttons (including the DPI switch) with the same Omron switches for the main buttons as the Gladius II. It also features the company’s Aura Sync RGB lighting, a low-friction, drag free rubber cable, and compatibility with the company’s ROG Armory software for customizing the Impact’s two-level DPI settings and lighting.
The ROG Centurion, ROG Gladius II, and ROG Strix Impact are now available and should appear on store shelves and online retailers soon with the following SRPs:
