ASUS Makes Hybrids More Affordable With The Transformer Book T100

ASUS has just made it easier to own a laptop/tablet hybrid with the new Transformer Book T100. Priced at only Php23,995.00 including the keyboard dock and a duo of freebies worth Php9,000.00, the T100 looks to be a pretty good deal for those want to get into the world of Windows 8 hybrids.

The T100 features Intel’s latest Atom Z3740 1.33GHz “Bay Trail” quad-core processor, Intel’s 7th Gen HD graphics, 2GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage space. It also sports a 10.1-inch IPS display with a screen resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels and features an ASUS exclusive “Reading Mode” which automatically adjusts the display for long-term reading sessions. A 1.2-megapixel camera can be found on the front of the tablet.

Since the T100 is primarily a touch-screen device, only a few hardware buttons can be seen on the device – a volume rocker, a power switch, and a button to separate the tablet display and the keyboard dock. As for port availability, the T100’s tablet display holds a micro-USB port, a micro-HDMI port, the MicroSD card slot, a 3.5mm headphone/mic jack, and the speakers with ASUS’s SonicMaster audio technology, while the keyboard dock has the lone USB3.0 port. The tablet display also houses the 802.11a/b/g/n dual-band WiFi, and Bluetooth 4.0 antennas.

The T100’s tablet measures 263 x 171 x 10.5 mm and weighs only 550 grams while the keyboard dock measures 263 x 171 x 13.1 mm and weighs 520 grams. When combined the T100 is only around 23.6mm thick and weighs only 1.07kg which makes it very portable and when used just for web browsing ASUS claims the T100 can last up to 11 hours due to its 31Wh Lithium-polymery battery.

The Transformer Book T100 is now available at authorized ASUS dealer stores for the aformetioned price of Php23,995 and comes with Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013 as well as one year of unlimited ASUS Webstorage.
