ASUS ROG (Republic of Gamers) has officially launched its new ROG Ally X handheld gaming PC in the Philippines. The company teased the local launch and availability of the latest iteration of the ROG Ally several weeks ago and now it’s officially here.
The ROG Ally X features several upgrades from its predecessor, including twice the storage (from 512GB to 1TB), more and better RAM (16GB 6400MHz to 24GB 7500MHz), and a bigger battery (from 40Wh to 80Wh). The internal cooling fans are now smaller with thinner blades, improving airflow alongside to new air tunnels and an additional third exhaust vent.
It also comes with an improved chassis that now comes in black and offers better ergonomics, cooling, and connectivity. The chassis now features slightly deeper handles and a more rounded shape, a more ergonomic button and stick arrangement, smaller macro buttons, and more. The joysticks of the ROG Ally X have also been upgraded, with a rating of 5 million cycles (from 2 million) and tighter springs, and its D-Pad has been improved as well.
ASUS has also replaced the proprietary XG Mobile port with two USB Type-C ports, one of which is Thunderbolt-compatible for use with external GPUs and more.
The ASUS ROG Ally X is now available through ROG Exclusive Stores with an SRP of PHP 56,995. It will come with 3 months of PC Game Pass, the ASUS 4A Quality and Service warranty package, and the ASUS Preventive Maintenance Service.
