ASUS has announced its new ProArt PA401 Wood Edition PC case, a smaller version of its ProArt PA602 Wood Edition. The ProArt PA401 Wood Edition features a more compact design than its larger sibling but still maintains the wooden front panel grille that gives it its name.
The front panel of the ProArt PA602 Wood Edition uses ash wood that’s certified by the Forest Stewardship Council for sustainability and goes through a six-stage process to create as well as a two-step coating process to achieve its finish. Behind the wooden front panel, the new case comes with two 160 x 32mm fans for air intake. There’s also an included 120 x 28mm rear fan for exhaust as well as an integrated fan hub. There are also dust filters in the front and bottom of the case.
The ProArt PA602 Wood Edition makes building easy with its tool-free design, allowing users to remove the side panels with a press of a button. The new case will be available in both tempered glass and metal side panel variants.
It also comes with a rear PSU bracket, so builders can attach the PSU to the bracket and simply slide it into the case. Tool-free 3.5-inch HDD brackets are included for easy installation of storage. For cable management, there are rear cable clips. The GPU can be oriented both vertically and horizontally as well.
The ProArt PA602 Wood Edition also features an extensive front I/O panel that includes a fan speed control button, two USB-A 3.0 ports, one USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm audio jack, power and reset buttons, as well as a power and reset button lock latch.
The ASUS ProArt PA401 Wood Edition will be available in the Philippines sometime in March 2025 with an SRP of PHP 6,690 for the tempered glass side panel variant. Availability and pricing for the metal side panel variant has been announced yet.
