AMD Announces Radeon RX 590 Graphics Card, ‘Raise the Game Fully Loaded’ Bundle

AMD has finally unveiled the Radeon RX 590 graphics card, the company’s new 12nm graphics card based on their “Polaris” architecture and new top-end model of the current RX 500 series.

AMD Radeon Technologies Group Corporate Vice President and General Manager Scott Herkelman said in a statement: 

“This new graphics card provides beautiful visuals, blistering frame rates, and the latest and greatest features for PC gaming. Combined with AMD Radeon FreeSync technology for smooth, stutter-free gaming, game Day-0 launch performance updates and an ever-expanding Radeon Software feature set, the Radeon RX 590 graphics card provides an amazing experience for the legions of performance and hard-core gamers everywhere.”

The Radeon RX 590 is built on the company’s 12nm process and Polaris architecture, the latter of which include 4th Gen GCN graphics cores, display engines, and multimedia cores that support both DirectX 12 and Vulkan. The RX 590 features a base clock of up to 1469MHz, a boost clock of 1545MHz, a memory clock of 8Gbps, a 256-bit memory interface, and 8GB of GDDR5. It also features 36 Compute Units (2304 Stream Processors), 144 Texture Units, 32 ROPs, and a max performance of up to 7.1 GFLOPs.

The RX 590 also supports AMD’s Radeon FreeSync technology as well as Radeon Freesync 2 HDR technology on compatible monitors, AMD LiquidVR technology for compatible virtual reality applications, and is compatible with the company’s ReLive technology, AMD Link app, and Radeon WattMan technology.

The AMD Radeon RX 590 is now available worldwide through several AIB (add-in-board) partners such as ASUS, PowerColor, Sapphire, and XFX.

Raise the Game Fully Loaded Bundle

Along with the announcement of the RX 590, AMD also announced the “Raise the Game Fully Loaded” bundle, which offers gamers up to three free PC games with their purchase of eligible AMD Radeon RX graphics cards or RX-powered computers. Buyers will have a choice between Resident Evil 2, Devil May Cry 5, and Tom Clancy’s The Division 2. All three games are set to release during the first quarter of 2019.

Those who purchase a Radeon RX Vega or RX 590, or an eligible Radeon RX Vega or RX 590 powered PC, will receive free copies of all three games while those who purchase a Radeon RX 580 or RX 570 graphics card, or an eligible Radeon RX 580 or RX 570 powered PC, can choose two of these games for free.
