Over 100 million copies of the Assassin’s Creed series have been sold to date and as Ubisoft was celebrating the amazing milestone for one of their biggest franchises the company also announced that, in November, the company will be releasing Assassin’s Creed The Ezio Collection, a remastered collection of the franchise’s most successful and definitive trilogy.
The Ezio Collection will include the single-player campaigns of 2009’s Assassin’s Creed II, 2010’s Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, and 2011’s Assassin’s Creed Revelations, as well as all of each game’s single-player expansions. The multiplayer mode that was introduced in Brotherhood and featured in Revelations won’t be making it into the new collection.
Aside from the trilogy of games and their expansions with remastered graphics, The Ezio Collection will also include a three-part, 36-minute short film series entitled called Assassin’s Creed Lineage that will serve as a prologue to Assassin’s Creed II as well as Assassin’s Creed Embers, an “action-packed” epilogue to the trilogy.
The Assassin’s Creed The Ezio Collection will be released for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One on November 15 to, according to Ubisoft, give fans time to catch with the story before the premiere of the Assassin’s Creed movie, which is set roughly in the same era, on December 21.
