Transcend has announced the release of three new high-speed portable SSDs with USB Type-C connectivity. The three new storage solutions feature small form factors and come with a range of features and in a number of capacities.
The ESD230C features a thin and light case the size of a credit card. Its black case is both scratch-resistant and fingerprint-proof. It also features hardware-based AES-256 encryption and is available in capacities up to 960GB.
Both the ESD240C and ESD250C come in a brushed aluminum and space-gray aluminum, respectively. The former is shock and drop resistant and comes in capacities up to 480GB while the latter is also available in storage variants up to 960GB.
According to Transcend, all three drives are equipped with USB 3.1 Gen 2 interfaces with UASP (USB Attached SCSI Protocol) that are capable of transfer speeds of up to 520MB/s.
All three models are covered by the company’s three-year limited warranty and come with both a USB Type-C cable as well as a USB Type-C to Type-A cable.
