The ASUS ROG NUC 16 Is a Gaming PC That’s Smaller Than a Console

ASUS has announced its new ROG NUC 16, the latest iteration of its all-in-one mini PC now powered by an Intel Core ARLHX processor and an NVIDIA GeForce 50-series Laptop GPU.

To be specific, the ROG NUC 16 is equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor 290HX Plus, up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU, and supports up to 128GB of DDR5-6400 RAM.

The new ROG NUC 16 features an upgraded thermal design for improved cooling and a patented removable stand, allowing users to position it vertically or horizontally. The new QuietFlow Cooling includes three fans (each measuring 102 x 102 x 17 mm) and a dual vapor chamber that increases thermal coverage by 12%  compared to the previous NUC’s thermal design.

It’s also equipped with a dedicated SSD heatsink that ASUS says lowers operating temperatures from 72°C to 59°C compared to a system without a heatsink.  The new thermal design allows the ROG NUC 16 to operate at just under 38 dBA even under full workloads.

Some of the other features of the ROG NUC 16 include Thunderbolt 4 and GlideX, the latter of which is a cross-device, cross-platform screen sharing and screen-control solution.

The ASUS ROG NUC 16 Black Edition and Moonlight White Edition will be available in the Philippines sometime this 2026. Pricing and specific details on specs for landed models have yet to be announced.
