Capcom has announced, during the latest Nintendo Direct, that Resident Evil Requiem will be released on Nintendo Switch 2 on February 27, 2026, alongside the game’s release on other platforms. Furthermore, Resident Evil 7 biohazard and Resident Evil Village are also coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on the same day.
Capcom showed off how Resident Evil Requiem will look on the Nintendo Switch 2 in a new trailer, which you can check out below:
The company also released the 2nd trailer for Resident Evil Requiem, which gives fans a glimpse into the game’s story and some of the horrors players will be facing in the new title. Here’s a brief description of the game’s story as well as the 2nd trailer:
“Everything is set in motion when a body — the victim of an unidentifiable disease — is discovered in an abandoned hotel. FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft is assigned to the case. But the crime scene is at the very same hotel where her mother died eight years ago. Grace prepares to finally face the past and makes her way to the scene, but this one case leads to uncovering the hidden truth behind the outbreak in Raccoon City, the biological disaster that shook the world. Will this be the requiem that finally lays the memories of that abhorrent disaster to rest?”
As previously mentioned, fans of the franchise will have a lot of Resident Evil to play on the Nintendo Switch when February rolls around as both 2017’s Resident Evil 7 Biohazard and 2021’s Resident Evil Village will also be releasing on Nintendo Switch 2 alongside Resident Evil Requiem. The Nintendo Switch 2 will be getting the Gold Editions of both Resident Evil 7 Biohazard and Resident Evil Village, which will include the full game and DLC.
Resident Evil Requiem is scheduled for release on February 27, 2026, on the Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Resident Evil 7 Biohazard Gold Edition and Resident Evil Village Gold Edition are also scheduled for release on the Nintendo Switch 2 on the same day.
