Metal Slug: Awakening distributor VNGGames has launched the open beta for the new mobile game. The latest entry in the classic long-running franchise is available on both iOS and Android.
Just like previous entries in the franchise, Metal Slug: Awakening features the World Adventure game mode the series is known for but with 3D visual upgrades as well as specific optimizations for mobile. The game’s characters, missions, and adventures have also been enhanced in this new entry.
Metal Slug: Awakening also features the classic run-and-gun gameplay, weapon powerups, and iconic Easter egg surprises from fat Marco to undecayed mummies. Other iconic elements and surprises that have been retained include blue and white-striped shorts, Hyakutaro’s signature salute gesture, and the coin-dropping Djinn.
One of the features that the new game is introducing is the brand-new SV-001 tank, a new vehicle that was designed specifically for the mobile game. Other vehicles that are available in Metal Slug: Awakening include the iconic flamer-equipped camel, the spring-legged drill car, and more.
New weapons have also been added to Metal Slug: Awakening, such as the Gattling, Boxing Gun, Saw Launcher, and more. The classic weapons such as the machine gun and rocket launcher have also made a return.
For the launch of its open beta, players will be able to collect exclusive rewards such as free draws, weapons, characters, vehicles, and more.

In celebration of Metal Slug: Awakening’s launch, 130 draws will be given to every commander in the first month! How to Participate – In the main city, locate the Open Beta Celebration section, and look for the New Recruits Event. Complete the daily designated tasks to collect fragments and synthesize them to obtain and upgrade the blazing weapon.

Listen up commanders! Participate in the Open Beta Celebration now and get extra coins! By collecting these coins, you can exchange them for permanent thematic name tags.
