LG Electronics has announced its new UltraGear Evo line of premium gaming monitors, which 5K resolution displays and a suite of on-device AI features, including 5K AI upscaling technology. The new UltraGear Evo lineup includes three models: the 39GX950B OLED, the 27GM950B New MiniLED, and the 52G930B Ultra-wide.
LG UltraGear Evo 39-inch GX9 (39GX950B) OLED Gaming Monitor

The LG UltraGear Evo 39-inch GX9 (39GX950B) is the latest in the company’s long-running GX9 series. It features a 39-inch 5K2K OLED display, specifically the company’s Primary RGB Tandem OLED panel, which the company says delivers improved brightness, color accuracy, and panel life.
The 1500R-curved 21:9 ultrawide display of the 39GX950B maintains the vertical height of a 32-inch screen and features a pixel density of 142 PPI. It’s also VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certified.
To support the 39GX950B’s 5K2K display, it also features 5K AI upscaling technology, which allows it to display what LG calls “5K-class clarity” without necessarily requiring users to think about upgrading their GPUs to drive the monitor. Other AI features of the 39GX950B include AI Scene Optimization and AI Sound, which work in tandem to supposedly create a more immersive audiovisual experience.
The 39GX950B also comes with a Dual Mode feature, which lets users switch between 5K2K at 165Hz or WFHD at 330Hz, both of which are supported by an ultra-fast 0.03ms (GtG) response time.
LG UltraGear Evi 27-inch GM9 (27GM950B) New MiniLED Gaming Monitor

The LG UltraGear Evo 27-inch GM9 (27GM950B) is the world’s first 5K New MiniLED display, which LG says is designed to dramatically improve blooming control. It features 2,304 local dimming zones and Zero Optical Distance engineering that minimizes the gap between the panel and LED, which allows the monitor to deliver ultra-high luminance and more refined contrast accuracy that helps preserves fine details across bright and dark scenes.
The 27GM950B also comes with same suite of AI features as the 39GX950B, including 5K AI Upscaling, AI Scene Optimization, and AI Sound. It’s Dual Mode feature lets users switch between 5K at 165Hz and QHD at 330Hz, with a 1ms (GtG) response time. The 27GM950B is VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certified, with a peak brightness of 1,250 nits.
LG UltraGear Evo 52-inch G9 (52G930B) Ultra-Wide Gaming Monitor

Lastly, the LG UltraGear Evo 52-inch G9 (52G930B) is said to be the largest 5K2K ultra-wide gaming monitor, with a vertical viewing height of a standard 42-inch 16:9 but with a wide 12:9 panoramic view and a curvature of 1000R. It also features a refresh rate of 240Hz and is VESA Display HDR 600 certified.
As of this writing, there’s no word yet as to if and when these monitors will be available in the Philippines as well as how much they’ll be priced at.
