Kingston has announced that it has added a new red colorway to its XS1000 external SSD, joining the original black colorway as well as the silver XS2000.
The small size of the XS1000, makes it easy to carry around. Measuring only 69.54 x 32.58 x 13.5mm, the external drive is as small as a key fob. Earlier this year, the XS1000 was named a winner of the 2024 Red Dot Award in Product Design.
It retains the same specifications of the original, including read speeds of up to 1,050MB/s and capacities of up to 2TB. It comes with a USB-C to USB-A cable and a USB-A to USB-C adapter for compatibility with more devices, such as PCs, Macs, tablets, game consoles, smart TVs, iPhones, and Android smartphones.
“Building on the success of the all-black XS1000, we’ve introduced a new colorway for those customers looking to stand out and express themselves through color,” said Kingston. “With the addition of XS1000 red, they now have more options for external storage and can expand their digital library with an award-winning design.”
The Kingston XS1000 is now available in red and black colorways and in 1TB and 2TB capacities. It is also backed by a limited five-year warranty with free technical support.
