The inaugural Paravox Gold Rush Tournament was recently concluded with Thai esports team Full Sense taking home the world championship title and a grand prize of 100 million Japanese Yen (more or less USD 700,000). The tournament was held at the Stellar Ball, Shinagawa Prince Hotel in Tokyo, Japan, and featured teams from Japan, Southeast Asia, Europe, and Latin America.
Full Sense bested teams such as Fennel, Loud, Alliance, Alter Ego Esports, and Reject to win the Paravox‘s biggest event so far since its Alpha release on the Epic Store earlier this year. On their way to the PGRT finals, the Full Sense also beat a number of notable teams during the PGRT SEA Qualifiers, including AP.Bren, Blacklist Academy, BLEED Esports, Attack All Around, SEM9, and GEEK FAM.
Full Sense is a surprisingly young team consisting of oPuTo (Ubon Dara), Brook (Nattadon Nakawanichwetchasit), and Jupiter (Chawinthorn Intrathit). While oPuTo is 28, Brook is only 13 and Jupiter just 16, making their feat even more impressive. The trio met through oPuTo’s Paravox game streams and began training and competing together, joining community-level competitions and official events. The team then went on to win the PGRT SEA Qualifier and the grand finals in Japan after that.
Paravox is currently in early access on the Epic Game Store and is scheduled to release in early access as well as on Steam sometime this year.
