Gods, Death & Reapers developer Wolcen Studio has announced new details on it’s upcoming Closed Alpha 4 test. The upcoming extraction RPG was recently showcased at gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show 2025, where the game’s official title was revealed (it was previously called Project Pantheon).
What is Gods, Death & Reapers?
Currently in development for PC, Gods, Death & Reapers is a free-to-play “ExtrAction RPG” that throws players into a brutal blend of high-stakes Extraction and Hack-and-Slash gameplay. Players take on the role of ‘Reapers’ under the command of Death himself, journeying into the fantastical worlds of mythology to quell the chaos left behind in the wake of their gods’ abandonment.
The sanctuary is the players’ hidden base where they prepare their gear before entering dangerous battlegrounds. Every run is a gamble: outfight deadly enemies, survive PvPvE clashes and escape with loot. But the stakes are high: death means losing everything players carried. Only successful extractions secure rewards, which can be traded with other players.
Closed Alpha 4 Playtest Schedule
Players in the NA, EU, SA, and SEA can jump into the upcoming Closed Alpha 4 playtest on the following dates/times:
- November 20 – 10 AM CET | 1 AM PDT | 4 AM EST | 6 AM BRT | 4 PM ICT
- November 26 – 6 PM CET | 9 AM PDT | 12 PM EST | 2 PM BRT | 12 AM ICT (Nov 27)
In Closed Alpha 4, Reapers will once again step into the afterlife to test new systems, features, content, and mechanics, this time, for a longer period.
The game will be available in Chinese, Japanese, Taiwanese, Korean, Thai, Spanish, Italian, French, and Portuguese (Brazil), along with English. More languages will be added over time.

What’s New in Closed Alpha 4
- You Asked, We Delivered: Story Mode is Here!
- We’ve heard your feedback, and for all the lone Reapers out there, Story Mode is finally making its debut in Closed Alpha 4! You’ll now be able to explore the afterlife fully offline, without engaging in battles against other Reapers. Of course, if you prefer the thrill of competition, the PvPvE Extraction Mode will also be available.
- New Map & Faction: Welcome to Helheim
- Straight from your nightmares, our new map, Helheim, awaits you with mysteries to uncover and dangers lurking in every dungeon and corner.
- A Brand-New Onboarding Experience: The Pit
- Closed Alpha 4 introduces The Pit, a completely revamped onboarding system that helps new Reapers learn the basics of the afterlife faster and more intuitively. Death welcomes you, now better than ever.
- New Crafting Buildings & Sanctuary Improvements
- More crafting buildings and recipes are coming in Closed Alpha 4, allowing Reapers to explore new recipes and expand their gear collection. Alongside these additions, the Sanctuary layout has been completely overhauled for a more compact composition and an improved field of view, creating a more immersive visual experience.

To celebrate Gods, Death & Reapers’ growing community, Wolcen Studio is launching a Wishlist Challenge that will unlock a special reveal trailer and Closed Alpha 4 access giveaways once the target is reached.
Your mission as a Reaper is simple:
