Cougar has unveiled the latest addition to their line-up of Mid-tower cases, the Cougar MX500. The MX500 has a sleek modern minimalist look with a “hair-lined surface front panel design”. The new case measures 210mm(W)x 475mm(H)x 480mm(D) and is compatible with Micro ATX/ATX motherboards and, with Cougar’s 3-mode Drive Cage design, can support high-end video cards up to 410mm by relocating or removing the drive cage.
The MX500’s bottom PSU cover and side panel are equipped with air filters that are magnetically attached allowing for easy assembly/disassembly for cleaning. The MX500 can support up to 7 cooling fans – 2 in front, 1 on top, 1 at the bottom, 1 in the rear, and 1 on the side panel – and come with two 120mm fans pre-installed (1 in front & 1 in the rear). The MX500 is also equipped with seven expansion slots for multiple GPU setups, three 5.25″ drive bays, and an array of 3.5″ and 2.5″ drive bays depending on how the 3-mode Drive Cage is set. The front panel features 4 USB ports (2x USB3.0, 2x USB2.0), a headphone jack, a mic jack, the reset button, and the power button.
