Cougar has launched the MX300 mid-tower PC case, it’s the 2nd model in their new MX-series of gaming chassis. The MX300 features a more rugged look, compared to the sleeker MX500, with its honeycomb front panel and mesh intake design.
The MX300 features the usual bells and whistles found in most current gaming cases including some form of cable management, compatibility with larger graphics cards (up to 310mm), tool-less 5.25″ drive bays, provisions for water cooling solutions, and an all black interior. The MX300 is also equipped with 7 expansion slots with vented slot covers for improved airflow.
The new chassis is able to accommodate two 5.25″ ODDs, three 3.5″ HDDs, and three 2.5″ HDDs or SSDs. It can also handle up to seven 120mm cooling fans – 2 in front, 2 on the top, 2 at the side, and 1 rear fan. Cougar has also equipped the top, front, and bottom vents of the MX300 with detachable air filters.
Overall, the MX300 seems like a pretty decent gaming chassis if you like how it looks.
