ASUS ROG and IKEA Announce Gaming Furniture Collaboration

ASUS ROG (Republic of Gamers) has announced its new partnership with furniture company IKEA to create a range of home furnishing solutions designed for gamers. The first of the new products are set to be initially released in China sometime in February 2021.

“Gamers globally know and love the ROG brand and they trust it to deliver the most exciting gaming innovations in the market,” says Kris Huang, General Manager of the ASUS Gaming Gear and Accessory Business Unit. “Our new partnership with the experts at IKEA will allow ROG to find new and interesting ways to delight gamers in and around the home.”

To develop the products the partnership will release, the companies held a series of workshops that involved both ASUS ROG and IKEA product designers, esports professionals, and more. The goal of the collaboration is said to create a new category of gamer-friendly home furnishing solutions and other products to help gamers achieve their dream gaming spaces.

“With the rapid growth of gaming market across the world and a fast growing number of people playing, IKEA is curious about how home furnishing could improve the gaming experience and life around it,” said Ewa Rychert, Global Business Leader of Workspace, IKEA. “By teaming up with ROG, IKEA wants to combine home furnishing knowledge with ROG’s expertise in creating exceptional gaming experiences. Together, we set out to help the many gamers, and their families, welcome gaming home through developing a new range of affordable and ergonomic gaming furniture and accessories, designed to increase performance while also blending in beautifully to homes.”

While no details on the new products have been announced yet, we’ll hopefully hear more about them in the coming months before the new products are released in China sometime in February 2021. The rest of the world will have to wait a bit longer to get their hands on the ASUS ROG x IKEA products though as they’re scheduled to come to other markets sometime in October 2021.
