ASUS and ROG Roll Out Free Windows 11 Laptop Updates

ASUS and ROG (Republic of Gamers) have begun rolling out a free Windows 11 update for hundreds of their laptops. The roll out, which began on October 5, 2021, will let users experience upgrade to the latest operating system from Microsoft at no extra charge.

Some of the new features of Windows 11 that users may experience after they update their respective laptops include the new Windows 11 interface, the new Android-compatible Windows Store, enhanced multitasking, DirectX 12 Ultimate, DirectStorage, AutoHDR, and enhanced touchscreen features.

Some of the ASUS and ROG laptop models that will be getting the free Windows 11 update include the new Zenbook Pro Duo 15 OLED (UX582), Zenbook Duo 14 (UX482), Zenbook 14 (UX425), Zenbook Flip 13 OLED (UX363), and Zenbook 13 OLED (UX325/UM325), and TUF Dash F15 (FX516), as well as the Zephyrus G14 (GA401), Zephyrus G15 (GA503), Zephyrus M16 (GU603), Strix Scar 15 (G533), and Strix G15 (G513) from ROG. Some of the company’s commercial products, including the ASUS BR1100 and ASUS ExpertBook B9 laptops will receive the upgrade as well.

A full list of eligible and compatible ASUS and ROG laptops for the free Windows 11 update can be found on the official ASUS website. Upcoming ASUS and ROG laptops that are set to release in the following weeks will also come with Windows 11 preinstalled out of the box.
