ASUS Philippines announced the latest phone to join the Zenfone Max series, the Zenfone Max Pro M2, after releasing the first teaser in late November.
The Zenfone Max Pro M2 continues to build on the foundation of the Zenfone Max M1 of being the “Battery King”. Like the M1, the M2 has a massively powerful 5,000 mAh battery. It also harnesses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660, backed with up to 6GB RAM and 64GB storage capacity. The camera has also been upgraded for the M2. It now uses a Sony IMX486 main sensor and features the same AI Scene Detection feature as the Zenfone 5.
The M2 has a 6-inch FHD+ (2280 x 1080) IPS display and uses Corning Gorilla Glass 6, the same used in the ASUS ROG Phone. Visually, the rear of the M2 looks unique, with what they call a Wave finish.

The ZenFone Max Pro M2 6GB/64 GB will be available nationwide starting December 15, 2018 in all ASUS and ZenFone stores and kiosks for PHP 14,995. While its second variant, the ZenFone Max Pro M2 4GB/64GB will be sold on Shopee and Lazada for PHP 12,995 starting on the same date.
